Privacy Chronicles
Substack by Matte Galt
Privacy Chronicles was originally launched as a Substack dedicated to exploring themes around IT security, social media, and the broader social and political implications of digital technologies.
Over time, the project evolved into a full website (cyberhermetica.it), but its foundation remained rooted in raising awareness of privacy and the impact of technology on everyday life.

For this project, I was tasked with redesigning the logo of the publication.
The design process began with the creation of a custom typeface, specifically developed to reflect the idea of interconnected threads and networks that form the structure of the web.
The responsive logo combined this distinctive typography with a symbolic icon: a padlock, constructed from the initials PC (Privacy Chronicles).
This dual element reinforced the themes of security and privacy while ensuring versatility across different formats.

The overall aesthetic was guided by a cyberpunk mood, evoking a futuristic and dystopian atmosphere where technology and control intertwine.
The result is a bold and memorable visual identity that both encapsulates the publication’s values and captures the imagination of its audience.
